Just 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro International Airport and Arusha town center, Ngare Sero is the ideal location to spend the day amid nature, watching the changing colors of the Kilimanjaro glaciers while sipping drinks on the verandah.
Originally built in 1905, the main house of the lodge still retains many of its original features and ornamental design with long colonial verandas stretching across the front of the house; the perfect spot to sit and watch the lake, monkeys, forest, and enjoy the grandeur of Mount Kilimanjaro. Furnished with stone benches and leather cushions, the lodge provides modern comforts amid antiques commemorating Tanzania’s German colonial past.
